Cadiz was appointed as Tondaligan Park Administrator on July 1, 2013 by the
City Mayor Belen Fernandez. The city mayor’s trust to Mr. Cadiz brought forth
several accomplishments in promoting Tondaligan Park as one of the tourism
attractions of Dagupan City. The administration of Tondaligan Park is under the
aegis of the City Engineering Department.
Notable accomplishments are noted since Mr. Jun Cadiz was
appointed as park administrator. The maintenance of cleanliness in all areas of
Tondaligan Park has been keenly observed by tourists and visitors as it is
properly maintain conducive for beachgoers picnics and other events. Garbage
materials and other wastes are collected regularly. It is strictly prohibits
the conduct of illegal activities such as card gambling within the area. Staff
and employees exert more efforts to beautify the Tondaligan Park through
putting up of signage or flags along the Tondaligan high way and beach area. Bench,
“papag” or similar beds along the beach area are removed. It also provided and
assigned lifeguards to protect beach swimmers. It is commendable that the
present administration of said park registers a zero drowning incident from
June 2013 up to the present. Construction of Physical Improvement of Tondaligan
Park administration building has been completed. Coconut trees are planted near
the seashore in order to prevent foreshore erosion and as a shield to the
onslaught of strong typhoons. There are planted coconut trees in different
areas; bjmp-50; pavilion-210;central bank- 175;admin-250;Bagong barrio-70;
Sabangan-60; Phil.Maritime area-100;Poolsite-13 ECO WMD-30 PNP precinct
sub-station; Dagupan City Water District substation-37. A total of 1,000 coconut
trees were planted.
The faithful compliance for the owners on the existing “no dog policy” and other astray animals roaming around the beach area are also enjoined. The portion of coconut tree trunks are covered with galvanized sheets to prevent rats from climbing thereby and eat the coco flowers or fruits which eventually fall from the ground if these rats are not prevented from climbing . Buoyant or floaters are placed five (5) meters from shore which will serve as warning how deep the sea water.
